How this works
App Store search matches multi-word queries by combining words from your title, subtitle, and keyword field, so a keyword counts as covered when every one of its words appears somewhere across the three. Repeated words are wasted characters (Apple indexes each word once), and so are spaces after commas.
Common questions
Do spaces after commas count against the 100 characters?
Yes. Every character counts, spaces included. Writekeyword,keyword with no spaces; Apple indexes it identically and you keep the characters for another term.
Should I repeat title words in the keyword field?
No. Title and subtitle words are already indexed, so repeating them burns characters for nothing. The checker flags every word that appears more than once across the three fields.
Do plurals count as separate keywords?
Apple matches many plural forms automatically, but not reliably in every language. The common practice: include the singular, watch your rank for both forms, and only spend characters on the plural if the data says it behaves like a different query.
