Custom product pages now rank for keywords. Use that.

The quiet ASO change of the iOS 26 cycle: custom product pages are no longer just an ad-traffic tool. You can now assign keywords from your keyword field to a specific custom product page, and when your app ranks organically for one of those keywords, searchers see that page instead of your default one. Different search intent, different screenshots, same app.

What changed

The rules Apple enforces

Two constraints matter in practice. First, assignments come from your existing keyword field: this isn't extra keyword inventory, it's routing for the keywords you already have. Second, each keyword combination must be unique to a single page: one keyword can't send searchers to two different CPPs.

Which keywords deserve a page

The honest triage, in order:

  1. High-popularity keywords where you already rank top 10.These are the only ones with meaningful organic impressions to convert. A CPP on a keyword ranked #80 is set dressing for an empty theater.
  2. Keywords whose intent diverges from your default page.If your default screenshots sell "habit tracker" but you also rank for "water reminder," that's exactly the divergence a CPP exists to close.
  3. Keywords you're paying for. If a term earns Apple Ads spend, its organic landing experience should match the ad's promise.

Measuring whether it worked

App Store Connect's analytics can slice impressions, product page views, and conversion rate per product page, with source filters that separate organic search from ads. The comparison that matters: the CPP's conversion rate against your default page's, on organic traffic, over a few weeks. If the targeted page doesn't beat the default, reassign the keyword and try a different angle.

Where Veldo fits

Veldo tracks your ranks and popularity per keyword already, so it can answer the triage question directly: its product pages view flagsCPP opportunities (popular keywords, top-10 rank, no page assigned) and wasted assignments (pages assigned to keywords nobody sees you rank for), and records your keyword-to-page mapping next to the rank data it maintains daily. Per-page conversion analytics are on the roadmap.
