Veldo is a native Mac app built to keep your data on your own machine. This policy explains what stays local, what leaves your Mac when you ask it to, and who handles your payment.
What stays on your Mac
The apps you track, your keywords, organic ranks, Apple Ads spend, and RevenueCat revenue live in a database on your Mac. Veldo does not upload that database to us, and we have no server that stores your tracking data. If you delete the app and its data, it is gone.
Connections you choose
Veldo only talks to a service when you connect it, and it talks from your Mac directly to that service:
- Apple Search Ads and RevenueCat: you provide your own credentials. They are stored in the macOS Keychain on your Mac and used to fetch your spend and revenue. We never see them.
- Apple App Store: Veldo reads public App Store data (search results, rankings, reviews) from Apple's public endpoints to calculate ranks. No login is involved.
Veldo Pulse, the community keyword index
Veldo contributes anonymous keyword and ranking observations to Veldo Pulse, a shared index that estimates keyword popularity from the whole community. These observations carry no account, name, email, or device identifier, and they cannot be traced back to you. In return, Pulse gives every user better popularity estimates than any single Mac could produce alone.
Payments
Purchases are handled by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. When you buy Veldo, Lemon Squeezy processes your payment and receives the billing details you enter. We do not see or store your card information. We receive your license key, subscription status, and the email address tied to your purchase so we can activate your license and send receipts. See theLemon Squeezy privacy policyfor how they handle payment data.
